Peter Jenal

Peter Jenal was born in Saarlouis in 1963 and began playing clarinet in the local community band at the age of 13. He went on to study clarinet at the Robert Schumann Institute in Düsseldorf from 1982 to 1986. Following his studies, Jenal served as a saxophonist and clarinetist in the army music corps in Münster from 1986 to 1996, before joining the Big Band of the German Army as a saxophonist and clarinetist from 1996 to the end of 2017. Since 1992, he has also been a clarinetist with the Original Egerländer Musikanten, performing under the direction of Ernst Mosch from 1992 to 1997 and subsequently under Ernst Hutte.
