Paul Wonjin Cho

Paul Wonjin Cho is the recently appointed 3rd and Bass Clarinetist of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and principal clarinetist of the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been described as a "stylish clarinetist" by The New York Times. Cho has served as a guest principal with the American, Harrisburg, Link Up Orchestra of Carnegie Hall, New Haven, and Vermont Symphony Orchestras. He has also performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Orchestra of St. Luke's, Singapore Symphony, and at the Tanglewood Music Center.

After completing the fellowship program at Ensemble Connect, Cho became a core member of Decoda and gave numerous performances, from Carnegie Hall to Sing Sing Correctional Facility, reaching out to various audiences. Cho is also a clarinetist at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. He has taught at Adelphi University, the University of Kentucky, Skidmore College, and Vassar College, and is a faculty member of Horace Mann School.

Cho holds degrees from the Korean National University of Arts, the University of Southern California, and the Yale School of Music. He studied with Dong-Jin Kim, Yehuda Gilad, and David Shifrin, respectively. Cho lives with his wife and daughter and enjoys riding a bike in the Bronx.
