Fabian Capaldi

Fabian Capaldi was born on 2 April 1984 in Olten. At the age of seven Fabian Capaldi discovered his passion for music and began to take saxophone lessons in the youth music conservatory of Olten. After finishing his recruit school in the Swiss Army Band, the young artist decided to turn his passion into a profession and completed the preliminary course at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. In autumn 2006 he will begin his Bachelor’s studies at the Lucerne School of Music. He completed both the “Master of Arts in Music / Performance Jazz” (2011) and “Master of Arts in Music Education” (2013) with distinction.
In 2010 Fabian Capaldi received the award of the Friedl Wald Foundation and in 2014 Fabian Capaldi received the Promotion Prize for Music of the Canton of Solothurn.
Fabian Capaldi began performing with various bands and projects at an early age. Whether with his own projects or as a freelancer, the young musician is always looking for new terrain in his work. His stylistic spectrum ranges from Jazz, Soul, Funk to Pop. He refines his versatility at a considerable number of concerts and in different formations such as Amy Macdonald, Gloria Estefan, Christoph Walter Orchestra, Donna Summer, Albert Hammond, Nelly Patty, Nik Bärtsch (Ronin, Ronin Rhythm Clan), DJ Bobo, Pepe Lienhard, Roger Cicero, Joy Denalane, Rhonda Dorsey, Charles Simmons, Patrice Covington, Alan Clark, William White, Seven, Marc Sway, Stefanie Heinzmann, Kathrine Jenkins, Petula Clark, Klaus Doldinger, Lou Bega, Paul Kuhn, 21st Century Symphony Orchestra, Caroline Chevin, Fabienne Louves, Polo Hofer, Hanery Amman, Phil Dankner, Michael v d. Heide, Padi Bernhard, Christian Schenker, Eve Kay, Jenniffer Kae and many more.

Recordings for radio and television, studio productions for artists from all over the world and concerts around the globe have accompanied his career since then. It is not least thanks to this flexibility that he is now a busy musician.
